Anne Holte founded the Pitbull Project here in Seattle and was a hero to many pitbulls and their advocates. Anne died an early death, leaving the dogs in her care in question. One of them was a blue brindle pit named Merlin who I adored. I could not have another dog, but I could create a pet portrait of this lovely, happy boy in tribute to his passionate mama.
Like all my pet portraits, this painting is colorful, expressive, and full of personality.
